Longer essays, timeless content

It's time for a change in schedule and format. Short weekly writing is too shallow when you have AI. I am pivoting: longer, timeless, full technical overviews, once every few weeks.

It's time for a change (in the newsletter) πŸ™Œ

The gist: Less often, more in depth, timeless πŸš€

I often work on longer projects, each interesting on its own. But not anymore in short weekly articles, but more as an overall full long essay.

This is the direction I am following πŸ‘‡

This newsletter, before AI

I have been writing here for a while now (the newsletter roughly 6 years, outside of it, even before, more like 10+ years).

Anything that was sparking my interest went into an article or newsletter πŸš€

Writing for me as always been (in this order):

  1. A way for me to consolidate my understanding (by teaching)
  2. A way to share with others so they can learn as well

Any technical material was valuable, there were few other ways for you to learn otherwise πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

AI changes the premise completely πŸ™Œ

Learning after AI

With AI, the above two points break down for the most part:

  1. Chatting with AI is a great way to consolidate understanding
  2. Others can use AI as well for their specific use case

Generic "how to" has lost its value. Recently, this extended even to more advanced/abstract patterns, as AI can mostly manage and explain those as well (and better, with charts, HTML documents, animated visuals).

As such, short form timely technical content is not the most valuable contribution anymore πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

This newsletter, after AI

Since the AI revolution (around November of 2025), my content reflected the shift: less technical details, more AI, architecture, upcoming releases.

But recently even this format is losing πŸ€”

I do a lot every week. Or better, the AI does a lot (of the technical details). I became a full manager of AIs πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

And, as such, just writing about how I manage agents is starting to get repetitive and low value.

The newsletter therefore is changing schedule and focus πŸ‘‡

Long-form timeless technical content

For about 3 years the newsletter was out once a week, no exception.

But once a week content is too shallow πŸ€”

I am often working on projects that last way longer than that. And most of them are deeply interesting from a technical standpoint:

  • Releasing and managing an open source library
  • A full module contribution to a popular open source library
  • A full app/game with some new technology
  • Mixing some libraries and testing new architectures

High value, but longer. Longer content, longer time.

Therefore, here is the new schedule:

Once every 3/4 weeks, a long form essay, with full technical details, personal experience, final result.

Timeless πŸͺ„

The essay will be a full breakdown, with interactive components, technical details, references. The kind of content I (you) want to read in the era of AI πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

The newsletter page will show the topic of the essay I am working on, and an estimate of the release date πŸ“…

The essay will be in its own full web page, and the newsletter will contain the link and a short preview of it πŸ‘€

If you are interested in the topic while waiting for the essay, and you would like for me to address something specific, feel free to send me an email πŸ“§

See you next, in a few weeks πŸ‘‹
